Turtle River State Park , Part 2

This is Part 2 of our Turtle River State Park journey. So look at the previous BLOG to get the background to this.
Kaelynn and Grandma are sitting at the top of the hill prior to their event!
Grandma was a good sport and took her solo run as Connor waits for her at the finish line.

But Grandma too has been watching the Olympics and this turn took her out of competition for the event. But she came back and took a podium position later in the day. She has been practicing all her life to be a Grandma and wasn't going to let one small spill keep her out of the big day!

Connor and Kaelynn were in the starting gate, ready to take on the hill!

This was the victory celebration at the bottom!

  1. That looks like so much fun! Thanks for sharing your stories, adventures and pictures - and way to go, Mom, for doing your solo run and continuing on despite your spill! Love you!

  2. Loved your Olympic terminology. Grandma you did great - you came back from the brink of defeat to gain victory! I noticed Connor doesn't even have mittens/gloves on in one photo while Grandpa is wearing steel toe gloves. Looks like all had a great time! Love to all, Paul and Patt

  3. I did also notice that you had the park all to yourselves - where were all those other tough North Dakotans?

  4. Oh - I love the "practicing all her life to be a Grandma!!!" line. Keep practicing, Jan - I am doing that too. Marilyn
